Spoken Words. My knees shake, my heart aches, from all these heart breaks. ‘Cause I can’t handle the pain, of knowing there will be no more dates. No more late night phone calls, no more holding hands in the halls, no more holding her in my arms on those chilly nights of fall. No more girl that I did fall, for. The girl that I completely adored. And then it hit me. Was this really love? ‘Cause I think it was just physical appearance that attracted us. We fell in love with each others’ looks, cute personality, each others’ eyes. But after a couple of months, real love came, and we were really surprised. Surprised to see each others’ true eyes, and that heart full of pain, tears, and lies. And right there, we just started to despise. We grew tired of each other, didn’t want to deal with one another. Breathing on each others’ back, acting like each others mother. It seemed like a great idea at that point to be just friends and not lovers. So, we ended it. We just couldn’t handle it. We were going to fast, we couldn’t flow with the rapids. We told each other ‘You’re not the person I fell in love with’. But we both knew, we didn’t know each other at all. So what we really meant to say was ‘I didn’t love you at all’.
